Sharnjit S. Purewal
Dr. Purewal focuses on preventing disease by helping his patients transition to a healthier lifestyle. Recognizing the Mind–body connection I look at the mental as well as the physical stress on the body. He has always loved science. When he was 8 years old, his father landed in the hospital with a heart condition, after which he was never the same. Becoming a doctor helped Dr. Purewal really make a
difference in his community by helping people live healthier, fuller lives. As an active member of the community, Dr. Purewal has helped the Sikh community organize food distributions for the Central California Food Bank.
Areas of interest
Bariatric Medicine: In line with his preventive care philosophy Dr. Purewal is a weight loss specialist. Following the guidelines of the Obesity Medicine Association, he will come up with a medically managed weight loss program which is individualized to fit your needs and specific medical conditions. This may or may not include medications such as appetite suppressants.
Dermatology: Most skin conditions are treated by family physicians but Dr. Purewal has gone through additional training in dermatology enabling him to take care of most skin cancers, and precancerous skin growths right here in the office. Dermoscopy, cryotherapy, and electrosurgery are all offered.
Family medicine: Dr. Purewal takes pride in taking care of the entire family throughout all stages of life. He will happily see you with your loved ones or care providers taking a holistic approach to your medical care. To get the most out of seeing Dr. Purewal, keep a written record of all your previous illnesses, injuries, medications, allergies, and immunizations. Bring this information to most of your appointments.

Jennifer Roberts
Jennifer Roberts, FNP-C is an AANP certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner working in collaboration with the physicians at Primary Care Consultants. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Queens College in North Carolina in 1994. Jennifer then moved to Fresno and began working at Saint Agnes Medical Center as an Emergency Room nurse.
While working at Saint Agnes, Jennifer continued to further her education by obtaining her Master of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of California at Fresno State in June, 2001. She’s now been practicing at Primary Care Consultants for over 20 years. Jennifer enjoys being a mother, spending time with her family, mountain biking, hiking and traveling.

Michael Lemus
Michael graduated in 2000 from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He worked as a researcher at City of Hope Beckman Research Institute until 2006 when he continued his education at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating with a master’s degree as a physician assistant in 2008. Has been certified as a physician assistant since graduating and has worked in neurosurgery as well as family practice in a rural clinic.

Jaskeerit Purewal
Dr. Keerit Purewal is a primary care physician who is board certified in Family Medicine and sees patients of all ages. Her professional interests include women’s health, pediatric care and gender affirming medicine. She provides care in the areas of general internal medicine, contraceptive care, PrEP treatment and procedures.
Dr. Purewal grew up in the Fresno area and earned her undergraduate degree from UC San Diego, where she majored in Huma Biology and minored in Healthcare and Social Issues. She then went on to work in medical research and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at UCSF Fresno, where in her last year she also served as Chief Resident.
She previously worked at UCLA Health as a primary care physician and Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, before returning to the Central Valley to continue practicing in primary care.
